Following ‘Japan Greatly’ and ‘Strike a Pose’, which saw support from NOTION, Trench, FADER and CLASH, the track continues to build momentum around the project. Built around a cleared sample from Leroy Hutson, IZCO reflects: “This one is inspired by how it feels to walk around the city when you’re in love,” he says.
Named after the street he grew up on, Powerscroft is a personal debut shaped by jungle, broken beat, grime, garage, dub and soul. Rooted in memory and instinct, the album brings together new ideas and archive material, capturing a fluid and feeling-led approach to production. It reflects IZCO’s inner world, where influences, experiences and emotion move freely.
Hailing from East London, IZCO is part of a new generation bringing soul back to the dancefloor. He began producing at 11, initially making rap beats before moving into grime and club music, going on to work with Capo Lee, Novelist and Reek0. His production credits include PinkPantheress’ ‘Passion’, alongside collaborations with Katy B and Greentea Peng. Alongside his solo work, IZCO is co-founder of Brighter Days Family, a community driven collective known for its sold out shows and collaborative ethos.
