‘Diane Charlemagne’ (feat. Iman Houssein) was already an epic Lefto number, and now the pair have teamed up once more to create a fresh remix of the track that is hypnotic in its sparsity yet captivating in the richness of density in its details.
Having migrated from Iran at the age of five, Iman Houssein has been making music since 2008. Working as a producer, singer, songwriter and artist in his own right, his creative ability is seemingly limitless, placing him perfectly for the new wave of exciting artists emerging in an ever global artistic conversation. With a musical journey starting with the traditional folk song of his birthplace Ahwaz to the ever expanding genre mergers of London, his style is a bringing together of time, past and present.
On the other hand, like many of his generation, Lefto has gained a global following because of his radio shows. Broadcasting on the likes of Kiosk Radio, The Lot Radio and the late Worldwide FM from his base in Brussels and several shows on NTS, he’s become an international beacon of good taste. Appearing as a special guest on live shows from Robert Glasper, Thundercat and touring with Badbadnotgood just to name a few, he’s been praised for being consistently ahead, devoted to the future of music, not waiting for the next thing — he seeks it out.
This track is not one to miss, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
