Wonky Logic is the musical project of Leeds-born, London-based composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Dwayne Kilvington. Equally at home in jazz, electronic music, film composition and collaborative arts projects, his work reflects a broad creative practice built on curiosity, community and improvisation. Over the past decade he has developed a reputation as a versatile collaborator, performer and musical director, bringing together influences from across the UK’s jazz, electronic and creative music scenes.
‘Underneath The Same Sky’ is a collaboration between Wonky Logic and vocalist Vanessa Rani. Originally emerging from an improvised jam at the end of a recording session at RAK Studios, the track took shape after Vanessa began singing over the music at home, eventually developing into a song about our shared humanity and the things that connect us despite our different experiences of the world.
Speaking about the track, Dwayne Kilvington says:
“It wasn’t written as a song. It became one later, when Vanessa started singing over a recording I’d taken home.”
